Denmark is stepping up to fight deepfakes with a new proposal that would let citizens legally own their face, voice, and body giving them more control over how AI uses their likeness.

WhatsApp adds AI message summaries

WhatsApp is introducing a new feature designed to help users catch up on unread messages efficiently by leveraging Meta’s AI capabilities.

• The feature will use Meta AI to generate bulleted summaries of unread messages in private chats, allowing users to review key points without scrolling through long conversations.

• Meta’s Private Processing technology will ensure that neither Meta nor other group chat members can access or view the generated summaries.

• To maintain user control, Message Summaries will be off by default and can be enabled within group chats through WhatsApp’s “Advanced Privacy” settings.
